Cincy Magazine has released this year’s “Rating The Burbs” issue. Factors taken into consideration were safety, school district, median home sale prices and more.

#1 Madeira – 

Madeira climbed back to #1 this year mainly due to their highly rated school system. Other factors are the 33% gain in median home sale prices and the low crime rate. This mainly residential suburb is conveniently located near I-71 and is only 12 miles from downtown Cincinnati.

#2 Union Township

Union Township is located in the second fastest growing county in Ohio, Warren County. It is served by four school districts and has a low crime rate. Median home sale prices rose 66% from 2010-2015 to $243,500.

#3 Terrace Park

Terrace Park ranked in the top 5 because of their low crime rate and the fact that the community is served by the Mariemont City School system. The suburb has a 94.6% home ownership rate and its median home sale price is the second highest in the area at $391,500.

#4 Clear Creek Township

Clear Creek Township is also located in fast growing Warren County. The county is becoming much more affluent with a median household income of over $73,000. The median home sale price has risen to $273,000. Clear Creek Township has the 3rd lowest crime rate.

#5 Indian Hill

Indian Hill is ranked in the top 5 suburbs once again because of the low crime rate and top ranked school district. It has the highest median home sale price at $940,000. Home ownership rate in Indian Hill is 94%

Homearama 2016 – The Oaks Of West Chester

This year marks the 53rd anniversary of Homearama. Homearama 2016 is being held at The Oaks of West Chester in West Chester Township from June 11th – June 26th.

The master planned community is situated on 85 wooded, rolling acres. Sprawling ranches and 2 story homes are being built on 1/2 acre home sites. Amenities of the new development will include 2 swimming pools, a cabana, a playground and hike/bike trails.

7 custom homes are featured in Homearama 2016. Builders include Drees Homes, Homes by Gerbus, Inc., Infinity Homes, John Candle Homes, Justin Doyle Homes and Sterling Homes. The Homearama homes range in price from $750,000 – $975,000.

Homearama 2016 runs from June 11th – June 26th. Hours are 4 pm – 10 pm Mondays – Thursdays and noon until 10 pm Fridays – Sundays. Tickets are $16 at the gate. Discounted tickets are available at Krogers or with a AAA card. Children 12 and under are free when accompanied by an adult.
