Mark your calendars with these upcoming Mariemont, Ohio community events:
April 17th – MariElders will be hosting an Italian Festival fundraiser at the Fairfax Recreation Center. Music will be provided by the Pete Wagner Band. Dinner includes spaghetti/ravioli with meatballs, salad, Italian bread, dessert, tea and coffee. There is an additional cost for beer and wine. The event is from 5:30 until 9:30 pm at 5903 Hawthorne Avenue Fairfax,Ohio 45227. Tickets are $12 for adults and $5 for children under 12.
April 24th – The annual Arbor Day Tree Planting will be held at Ann Buntin Becker Park, between Beech and Oak Streets. The new tree will be a great addition to the park. The village is working hard to make improvements with the landscaping in this area. The Arbor Day Celebration will take place at 4 pm.
May 16th – Mariemont is holding a village-wide garage sale on Saturday, May 16th from 8 am – 4 pm.
May 25th – The Memorial Day Parade will begin at the Parish Center at 8 am. The parade route will then move towards the Municipal Building, to the Pioneer Cemetery then end back at the Parish Center. Donuts, juice and coffee will be available to purchase at the Parish Center, 3908 Plainville Road Mariemont, Ohio 45227.
The Village of Mariemont is considered to be one of the most desirable communities in the Greater Cincinnati area. Mariemont is home to over a dozen parks totaling more than 50 acres. There are parks with playgrounds, recreational sports activities and parks that have walking trails. The Bell Tower at Dogwood Park has a carillon. There is a Carillon concert every Sunday throughout the summer.
